COTTAGE BOOKING CHANGES
As these are privately owned cottages and not hotels, we cannot change a booking from one cottage to another. Any changes in a cottage booking by a renter will be considered a cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to change your cottage booking, we will try to offer alternative accommodations of similar quality, if available. You can accept this alternative or a full refund of all monies paid. No further compensation is payable by the Company.
Cancellations must be in writing. Also, if the renter fails to pay any balance of rent by the due date it is deemed to be a cancellation. In the event of a cancellation we will try to rebook the cottage property for the same period of time and terms as the cancelled rental. If the property cannot be re-booked for the same period of time and terms ie: one month, 4 consecutive weeks family of six, the renter shall forfeit whatever they have paid. If the property can be re-booked for the same period of time, the booking deposit or amount already paid will be refunded to the renter less a $ 100 handling fee to the Company. If the cottage is re-booked only for part of the rental time or period, the renter shall forfeit all monies. Should part of the rental period be vacant, the cancelling renter shall not be entitled to any refunds or occupancy of the property. Any exceptions to the policy are at the discretion of the property owner.
