Tondern Island is a historic cottage area first becoming popular by American tourists in the early 1900's. The island is accessible by car via a bridge at Beaumaris. This is a popular location between Port Carling and Bracebridge, an area of many executive cottages, known as Millionaire's Row. This family estate features a grand living room, spacious Muskoka Room with powered screens offering an open lake view, plenty of windows and a massive stone fireplace. You will enjoy a beautiful lake view from the stone patio where you can dine and BBQ or enjoy the expansive stone patio at the waterfront where there is an impressive outdoor fireplace.
Reserved parking for five will mean there is plenty of room for your family and guests. The cottage is accessed by a cart path which will only add to your very favorite cottage experience. You will ride in a golf cart, which are included in the rental, along a beautifully wooded and scenic path which leads to the boathouse where there is room for your boat in a covered slip there is additional sleeping and 3 pce bathroom for your guests.
From the boathouse you will follow the path to the cottage. Here the lot is level and leads right to a large stone patio with plenty of room to dine outside. Walk down the paths to the waterfront, second stone patio and second dock or take the golf cart if you are bringing drinks to your guests. Here there is plenty of grass to play yard games or just enjoy the view and peace and quiet! You will certainly enjoy evening fires in the outdoor fire place.
From the shore there are stone steps with a railing into the water. Here you will find a nice sand bottom which becomes deeper as you wade out.
Second dock at this shoreline has received a little damage over the winter but is still okay to swim from if you choose.
KIT - pine cabinets, large island, cook top, two ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, pot lights, warm pine floors, open “windows” into a bright eat in dining room which as a lake view, door to outside and large table seats 8-10.
BUTLER PANTRY – between kitchen and formal dining room, plenty of storage and all dishes are stored.
FAMILY RM – cozy family room with walls and ceiling painted white, warm pine floors, sofa, two chairs, television, wood burning fire place
DR – separate from the kitchen and more open to the great room. Warm pine board and batten walls and ceiling, area rug, lake view, large table seats 10, doors to living room
LR - very large great room, large floor to ceiling stone fp, sofa, two chairs, area rug, door to screened porch, lake view.
Screened Porch – quite large, plenty of seating, fantastic lake view, motorized screens so this large space can be open or screened off.
1Bath – 2 piece bath off of hallway leading to the outside (lake side)
